Meet the AMCNO’s New President—Robert E. Hobbs, MD

Dr. Robert E. Hobbs was installed as the AMCNO’s president for 2016-2017 at the AMCNO Annual Meeting. Dr. Hobbs has been an AMCNO member for many years. He is a cardiologist who practiced at the Cleveland Clinic for 38 years, specializing in Heart Failure and Transplant Medicine. He co-founded the Clinic’s heart transplant program, which is ranked among the top 3 in the country.

Dr. Hobbs has given more than 500 medical and scientific presentations worldwide. He has been active in clinical research and is the author or co-author of more than 200 articles, book chapters, and abstracts. In addition to his work with the AMCNO, he served as President of the American Heart Association, Cleveland Metro Division; the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Cardiology; the Pasteur Club; and the Cleveland Clinic Alumni Association.

Presently, he is involved in many advocacy issues associated with health care for Ohioans.
