AMCNO and AMEF to Present Seminar on Legal and Financial Aspects of Practicing Medicine

The Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio and Academy of Medicine Education Foundation will once again hold its annual seminar for physicians-in-training on “Understanding the Legal and Financial Aspects of Practicing Medicine” for free. This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 6-8:30 pm, at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

The objectives of the event are to teach attendees how to:

  • Establish a sound long-term financial plan;
  • Protect their assets when faced with legal issues;
  • Evaluate practice choices, and what to look for before accepting their first job; and
  • Negotiate the details of a contract.

For the first time, we are opening up the seminar to AMCNO members and non-members who would also like to attend the event. The registration fee for members will be $50 and for non-members it will be $100. Food will be provided.
