2016 AMEF Foundation Facts Newsletter is Now Available – Consider Making a Donation to the Foundation Before the End of the Year!

Not much time remains in 2016 for you to make a tax-deductible gift. When you donate to the Academy of Medicine Education Foundation (AMEF), you are supporting medical students and the members of Cleveland-area communities, as well as providing opportunities for you and your fellow colleagues to earn continuing education credits through sponsored events.

The AMEF has accomplished much this year to fulfill its mission of providing educational opportunities for physicians and the community as well as funding for medical student scholarships. To learn more, click here to access the 2016 AMEF Foundation Facts newsletter. You will also be receiving a mailed copy of the newsletter in the near future.

The foundation was pleased to partner with several local organizations to co-sponsor and fund informative, healthcare-related seminars and programs, such as the annual Medical Legal Summit with the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and a forum on the effects of violence with The Free Clinic.

The main focus, however, of the AMEF is to provide medical students with scholarships. This year, the AMEF awarded six students with $5,000 scholarships, for a total of $30,000. Since its inception, the foundation has granted more than $1.5 million to such qualified students. To continue this work throughout 2017 and beyond, contributions are essential. Please consider supporting this amazing organization through our AMEF online donation page. There are several giving options.

The AMEF and the AMCNO thank you for your continuous support, and we wish you a happy holiday season!
