Gov. Kasich’s 2018-19 Budget Supports Making Ohio a Healthier Place to Live and Work

The goal of Governor John Kasich’s 2018-19 budget is to direct funds toward Ohio’s greatest health challenges to make the state a model of health and economic vitality and to support a healthier workforce for a stronger economy, according to the Office of Health Transformation.

Funding will focus on maternal and infant health, mental health and addiction, and chronic disease as well as the underlying, cross-cutting drivers of well-being, such as jobs, education, healthcare coverage and healthy behaviors.
