Pollen Line

The Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio (AMCNO) Pollen Line

The Pollen Line has now been in existence for more than 50 years. This vital community service provides a line of defense to many who suffer from seasonal allergies. The AMCNO is pleased to have an area team of physicians providing the daily pollen counts, along with preventive methods to help allergy sufferers cope during this season. Northern Ohio residents from across the region who suffer from allergies and hay fever contact the AMCNO Pollen Line to obtain the pollen counts on a daily basis.

The AMCNO Pollen Line provides pollen counts daily Monday through Friday beginning in April. The AMCNO pollen count is utilized by local news stations, The Plain Dealer and other area media outlets. The AMCNO is also proud to announce that we are now listed on The Weather Channel’s website at http://www.weather.com/activities/health/allergies/sources.html, providing pollen counts for Northern Ohio.

The public can call the free hotline at 216.520.1050 to hear a recorded report on the density of allergens, the probable impact on those who are sensitive to those agents, and what precautions to take. The Pollen Line will be accessible 24 hours a day Monday through Friday from April through October, with the reports recorded by 8:00 each morning.

The Pollen Line is a longstanding AMCNO sponsored community service and currently features Allergists Robert W. Hostoffer, DO; Theodore H. Sher, MD; and Haig Tcheurekdjian, MD, from Allergy/Immunology Associates providing the pollen counts on behalf of the AMCNO.
